Pitching a Game - Jichen Li

It was a fun experience writing my game pitch document. I tried to avoid putting too much detail to my game pitch and instead, provide high level, clear messages to my audiences.  After reading through my pitch document, reader will have a clear idea about how the game would look like but not overwhelmed by the detailed of the game.

One good thing about pitching the game before the actual develpment is that it also give me as a game designer a chance to relook at my game idea and have time to think about it. Problems may not be realized until the ideas were actually wrote down on a document. For example, what will be the actual game loop looks like? How long is it. The answers to these quesitons does not raised into my head until I finished pitching the game.

Also, the contents I created for the pitch document can actually reused in our GDD.  Game loops and event designs may changed one semester later but its always good to have the original idea saved somewhere for all the developers in team to take a look at years later.

Overall, I think its a good start of the project and wish my team best luck for the development.
